These paintings/collages are the outcome of previous paintings that collapsed in front of my eyes. In the past, they would have been consigned to the bin, now I cut them up, overpaint, use the back of them and reconfigure their components.  

Having stopped teaching full-time, I spend more time at home and in the studio. The images have domestic references and a certain longing for times past when the house was busy with children, now no longer the case.
